How to Cure Eczema

The weird thing about eczema is it can occur absolutely anywhere on your body. However its said to mainly occur on the wrist joints, elbow joint, and the patella (knee cap). However Eczema is always the same. Eczema usually causes the skin to be itchy, flaky, and dry been red and rather painful. Eczema can often weep and bleed.

There are two main types of eczema which are Atopic and contact.

---Atopic---

Atopic Eczema is the most common form of eczema it mainly develops in the young however they often grow out of it. This usually runs in families especially if somebody else has a a atopic condition such as asthma or hay fever. Babies often suffer from eczema mainly occurring on their face especially the babies cheeks.

---Contact---

Whilst Atopic Eczema is more or less a inheritance condition and something in the body is causing it, Contact Eczema is a chemical reactions towards the skin like perfumes, detergents and the usual that you would suspect. A common chemical that causes eczema is Nickel. Contact eczema is the form of eczema that adults mainly get. If you are a adult and do have this form of eczema then i strongly advise you to check the substances that you are using and see if it does have nickel in it. I simply advise you to wear gloves when dealing with these detergents.

A less common type of eczema is Seborrhoeic, this form of eczema will appear on the scalp and the eyelashes. The symptoms for this is simply that your scalp start to flake away and you have a severe case of dandruff coming out of your hair.

Some people feel as if they know what starts their eczema its important to realise however that some people are different however we are all the same in a way. Therefore what they might feel is causing their eczema is not what you might feel is causing eczema.

These are:

*Emotional or physical stress

*For women, periods

*Illness

*Certain foods

*Changes in the weather

When people feel the weather is causing their Eczema this isn't 'when it rains it gets worse because their depressed'. Simply the sun drys out the eczema which causes it to flake. People who don't have eczema still have skin that flakes when they lay in the sun and simply crawl out of their skin.

Bacteria that live on the skin called Staphylococcus aureus can be responsible for exacerbation of eczema. Scratching causes breaks in the skin, allowing the bacteria to get in and cause irritation.

Treating your Eczema!

Its so important that you keep the skin moisturised because when you don't the skin will flake and the bacteria that I have mentioned (staphylococcus aureus) will simply get into your skin and will make your eczema worse.

Make sure you eat plenty of vitamins as they help the skin. You also need a lot of protein for growth and repair!
